Storage in clean, labeled containers prevents mechanical damage. Though costly, genuine Pt ensures inertness and reproducibility—counterfeit alloys may leach impurities. Prefer vendors offering buy-back or refining services to offset lifecycle costs. Always use compatible tongs and avoid contact with reducing atmospheres that accelerate degradation.
